Episode 3: What is AIDS Anyway?
July 10th, 2008
David and Christine discuss this seemingly simple question and reveal how there is AIDS without disease, AIDS diseases without an AIDS diagnosis, AIDS diagnosed without HIV testing, and AIDS based on a doctor’s idea of who a patient may be. Illustrating the elusive and confounding nature of an AIDS diagnosis is Steve, a healthy gay man who was told he had AIDS on a CD4 T cell count. After his doctor advised that Steve would soon become blind and die without immediate AIDS drug treatment, Steve took his own path toward health and is alive and well many years later with many interesting, amusing and infuriating experiences to share.

Christine and David, This is an excellent commentary about the phoney construct of AIDS. There are so many definitions in the mindset of AIDS.January 2, 2005 will be my 5th year as a rethinker and quit Viramune and Combivir cold turkey.
In my journey with the HIV-AIDS industry I have seen many many definitions and ideas of what AIDS is. I like the “alphabet soup” concept because it won’t be too long the CDC will add “Hangnails” and ‘Earth Quakes” to the category of AIDS.
Some people beleive that GRID(S)is a banned definition to substitute AIDS but I [personally]believe according to the CDC’s MSM(Men Who Sleep With Men) page that this is a clever[camoflauge] for GRID based on the original construct.
Is it possible for a sequel?
“GRID(S) and AIDS what’s the difference”?
Keep up the great work I just love you guys to death.
Glad you liked it. We certainly want to do more educational podcasts. We have so many interviews to do though too. It’s hard to choose what to do next.
