Episode 15: Remembering Christine
May 10th, 2009
Christine Maggiore’s sudden death in December 2008 was a shock to rethinkers around the world, as well as her family and many friends. Loved for her caring personality, respected for her commitment, admired for her drive and desire for dialog, she is deeply missed.
Celia and David at “How Positive Are You” miss her for all those reasons and also because she founded this podcast, and we know how much it meant to her. This podcast includes some of the speeches from her memorial service on January 17 2009 in Northridge, California, speeches delivered by some of her close friends and allies.

Thanks so much for putting this together. I never met Christine, but the person captured in the words offered at her memorial makes me wish I’d had the privilege of knowing her. Courage and strength to those left behind–those who will clearly miss her, and those carrying on with the fight for freedom of speech and choice when it comes to our health.
Thank you. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Thanks from me too. It’s quite moving.
These were some of the most moving eulogies I’ve ever heard. Esai’s words literally moved me to tears. Can it be put on Youtube where more people can hear it and perhaps bring them to this site for more?
I’d support the YouTube idea. I also recommend uploading this to Maggiore’s memorial website, or giving a link to it.
VERY NICE. Thank You.
I don’t know how I feel about posting something like this on YouTube. Perhaps it’s because I’d rather not see it savaged online and turned into a circus. The other side of me thinks this humanises the story, shows the person behind the media coverage, and frankly, deserves to be shared.
I’m sure in a few days time, I will side with posting it, come what may. This is a family decision. If our opinions count, I’ll check the box that says let Robin decide.
Taoe of Philly.

Hi Taoe, good to talk to you again.. I don’t really think that we can stop this being published on YouTube. For better or worse the MP3 file is downloadable. I won’t be doing it, but I just know someone else will.

THANK YOU for sharing David & Celia.:)
So beautiful & truly deserving of one as great as Christine, who’ll forever remain on our minds & in our hearts.
We’ll continue to do our best to keep your cause very much alive Christine, & shall welcome whatever guidance that you have for us from your new vantage point … you’re just a whisper away dear, bravest one.
With love & abundant LIGHT to ALL,
