XTRA: Bobby Russell Fights Dismissal of His Kentucky Lawsuit, Still Contests His ‘HIV Test’ Results — and You Can, Too!

September 19th, 2014

URGENT! You can make a difference. . . . Bobby Russell, recently interviewed [Update, October 2016: the new link is HERE] by “How Positive Are You” co-host David Crowe on his “The Infectious Myth” show, is raising funds to appeal the September 15, 2014, dismissal on summary judgment of his medical malpractice suit against the University of Kentucky Medical Center and doctors. This system has an effective monopoly on “HIV/AIDS” testing and treatment in eastern Kentucky but no accountability to patients on how reliable those tests are. They misdiagnosed Bobby as “HIV positive” for eight years. He needs to raise $9,000 by September 29 toward a total of $25,000 by the end of the year, and has set up an online fundraising appeal here. Please give what you can. [Note, October 22, 2014: The new deadline to file a Notice of Appeal is October 29. The amount of money Bobby needs changes daily, but we hope that you will still consider giving to Bobby’s legal fund. Bobby has also created a Web site to “Protest the Test,” where you can learn more and become part of this historic effort to challenge careless HIV testing.] Continue reading »

Thirty years ago this summer, doctors told actor Rock Hudson that he had “AIDS.” A year later, he collapsed in a hotel room in Paris, igniting a public hysteria around a virus then said to threaten everyone. A little over a year later, Hudson was dead at 59, AIDS had gone mainstream, and a young drifter named Marc Christian, claiming to have been the Hollywood heartthrob’s lover, filed a lawsuit against the estate for “emotional distress” for fear of having caught a fatal virus. Attorney and author Robert Parker Mills chats with “How Positive Are You” co-host Elizabeth (Beth) Ely about defending the estate — and the posthumous reputation — of one of the most beloved stars of movies and television, in 1988-89. Episode 85: Filmmaker Nicole Zwiren Grows Up, Talks Back to ‘AIDS Education’ for the Millennial Generation

July 24th, 2014

Born in 1984, Nicole Zwiren and her classmates received their first “AIDS education” as first graders — six-year-olds. A cute kid just like them, Ryan White, told Oprah Winfrey he was going to die of AIDS, and other kids might die too if they didn’t watch out. So before Nicole could explain the dissident paradigm for beginners in her latest film, HIV: A Whole Different Story, she had to explain it to herself. Is it easier or harder to reverse the effects of a propaganda state if a person has lived inside it all her life?

We hope you’ll be compelled to support Nicole’s post-production costs through the Dana “mindful crowdfunding” community — by 11:59 p.m. on August 15, 2014.  (Get cool t-shirts, tote bags and CDs/DVDs!)
