Comment (0)NEWS UPDATE: London Film Fest Drops AIDS Doc ‘Positive Hell,’ as ‘Vaxxed’ Backlash Hits Houston, L.A. Screenings Sell Out, NYC Gets Second Week
April 10, 2016–Telling people not to see an alarming public-health documentary may not be the best strategy to kill it. Perhaps emboldened by recent American censorships of Vaxxed: From Coverup to Catastrophe, the London International Film Festival has pulled AIDS documentary Positive Hell, according to veteran journalist, author and filmmaker Joan Shenton. (We reported on the film in Episodes 72 and 96, and posted a link to a discussion on “The Progressive Film Hour.“) The festival organizer admitted he acted under pressure from LGBT student groups at the university where he teaches.
UPDATE, April 11, 2016–DANGEROUS, ILLICIT, NAUGHTY, FREE viewing: Watch Positive Hell (28 minutes) anyway. (No, don’t. Please, you’ll feel better if you don’t. . . . it’ll hurt others’ feelings . . . don’t even think about it . . . you’re not thinking about it, are you? Mind Police! Open up!) UPDATE, September 8, 2016–It happened again. Another London film festival pulled Positive Hell from its lineup, this time the Portobello. Meanwhile, former “How Positive Are You” co-host Celia Farber is posting fascinating daily updates on the rapidly failing attempt to censor Vaxxed, so click on over to The Truth Barrier. UPDATE, April 11, 2016–Shenton gets her day in the media at “The Truth Barrier,” and she is devastating to this pretense of an “independent” film festival. How, indeed, do LGBT “activists” benefit from silencing positive stories of HIV survival? (Answer: They collect money.)

Episode 108: Waking Up to the Truth, with New AIDS Rethinker George Borrelli
When confronted with new facts, why do we take so long to change our minds? George Borrelli never imagined a different view of “AIDS” science existed until he stumbled on it while researching alternative cancer theories and treatments.
“This really rocked a belief that I thought was so solid that it could not possibly be wrong,” says the retired engineer. “It was such a fundamental belief. I really didn’t want to accept the possibility that what everyone is saying could possibly be false.” Continue reading »

We see a lot of other AIDS-dissident documentaries on the channel, including the acclaimed House of Numbers and Anne Sono‘s I Won’t Go Quietly, so head on over there.

Comments (3)Episode 96: Dr. Manuel Garrido Recalls His Own Escape from the ‘Positive Hell’ of Living with ‘HIV’
The year is 1987, and the world stands in fear of an alleged new virus, “HIV,” with only one treatment in development, a highly toxic drug called AZT. A medical doctor in Spain gets his own test results — “positive” — and descends into alcoholism and despair. Twenty-seven years later, as featured in the new documentary film Positive Hell, he is healthy and proof that there is indeed life after HIV.
Comments (6)XTRA: Joan Shenton, Dr. Christian Fiala and Mitchell Rabin Discuss ‘Positive Hell’ on ‘The Progressive Film Hour’
What is “AIDS,” are there any reliable tests for a virus that allegedly causes it, and why are certain people living many years after they “test positive”? Here at “How Positive Are You,” these questions may be a bit, shall we say, elementary, but they may be new to some listeners. Joan Shenton (Immunity Resource Foundation) and Dr. Christian Fiala break it all down for New York Podcaster Mitchell Rabin in advance of the February 5, 2015, London premiere of Joan’s 30-minute film Positive Hell. Listen in — because “the fundamental things apply.” Without reliable tests, clear disease definitions and treatments that don’t cause the diseases themselves, we’re not sure what we’re looking at.
Listen at The Progressive Film Hour.
